Just Us Girls Challenge #723 - Moodboard/Photo Inspiration

It's my challenge choice this week over at JUGS.  I do love a good moodboard!  I started with a mini slimline card base, and went from there.

I picked up on the colors, along with the flowers.  I used my new Gina K Designs Swirl Flower Mini Slimline Plate.  I inlaid all those pieces!  While that is time consuming, I am happy with the end result.  Good thing - I really dislike wasting time. 😀  My sentiment is from Memory Box, Signature Greetings w/ matching dies.

Addicted to CAS Challenge #256 - Monochrome

It's time for Addicted to CAS Challenge.  This challenge is all about monochrome.

I wanted to step outside my box and go for a color I don't use often at all; BRIGHT yellow. Well, I think I accomplished that!

I actually did use yellow ink too!  [Yeah, it turned out orange - well ok].  I used a few old favorite stamps of mine from Papertrey Ink; Rosie Posie, Rosie Posie II, and the matching dies. Of course, all all retired.

Yes sirree, it's an in-your-face BRIGHT card. Someone will love it.

I  needed a kids card, and this challenge worked for it!

Stubby pencils!  [I adore these fun dies].  I used different shades of green + pink.  

Add a HB, and my cute kids card is ready to be mailed out!

Fun Time Friday

It's been a couple of weeks since I sat down in my stamp room and just created.  I did it today!  I made a couple of ATCs for [my favorite] Around the World ATC Challenge; Clean and Simple.

 I think they are CAS enough.  I used a self made stenciled tissue paper for my background, along with a couple of inlaid flower die cuts.  The sentiments are from an older Neat & Tangled stamp set; Across the Card.

I am also entering this into the {PIN}spirational Challenge #312; embossing.  It's been a while since I played in this challenge - [both my bases are embossed].

I went on to make a couple of mixed media cover sheets. (Literally, just playing around).  I did use the colors on one of them from Color Throwdown #787.  I am also entering into a new to me challenge, Creative Artiste Mixed Media Challenge #103; Anything Goes Mixed Media.

 

I am really happy with both of these! 😀

Just Us Girls Challenge #721 - Color Week

Well, I seem to be hooked on bird cards!  When I saw these colors, I thought of my Simon Says Layered Berry Bird Die.

I think he totally works in these colors.  Since my Arizona area gets ZERO colored birds, I live vicariously through my cards. 😉

I also seem to only make birthday cards.  I really do need to change it up.

The Male Room Challenge #185 - Embossing

So many possibilities!

I have a favorite when I use an embossing folder - sanding.  I totally love the sanded end result.

To keep it a masculine card, I went with a monotone darker green color.  By pulling out the white from sanding,it  makes the panel pop against the white card base.  See why I like sanding?  Oh yes please.

I also cut out 3 Spellbinder Feathers, and embossed those also. I added a sentiment, and this card is complete.
