Just Us Girls #289 - Color

This week over at JUGS, Lisa chose Brown, White/ Beige, plus one color.  I needed a late Easter card [so good about making cards, terrible at mailing my cards out!] for my son.

Total Silhouette card.  [I love my cutter. :)]  I finally took an outside photo since the brown  came out as black!  I glitter penned the HE for a little pop.

Okay all, easy challenge, with fun potential!  Hope to see you over at Just Us Girls #289.

STAMPlorations Inspiration Challenge #13

It's once again, STAMPlorations Inspirations Challenge~  Just pick a card by one of the STAMPlorations Designers and CASE it. [Hopefully mine ;)] -- remember to tell us who you are CASEing.

I saw Laura Bassen's video using acetate for water coloring.  I had to try it and BA BAM!  I love how [easy] fun it was.  I adore the end results.  I sure will use this technique again~  Meanwhile, I used one of my favorite STAMPlorations sets, Bloom Sketches.  Goes well with the water coloring don't you think?

Now its your turn -- pop on over to the STAMPlorations Blog, check out the other DT's cards, and then play along!  There is a prize......

Stamps of Life Day

It's the Stamps of Life day again on my blog.  [It's looking like Thursday is going to be the day]  Today, I am featuring the newly released MomandDad2Love.

I just love the Happy Collections Designer Paper Stamps of Life carries.  All those fun bright colors!  SOL also is carrying twine!

For this fun card, I used the Sizzix Playful Stand-Ups die, along with another designer paper, Love Story. See that cute bow? Yep, Red & Black Bows.

Dazzling Divas #71

I do have to say that Monica [owner AALD] picks some gorgeous photos for inspiration!

A closer view of the actual colors.  Also, do you see how fabulous the cuts are when you use dies with the metal?   Amazing!
I used MFT Falling Leaves, and Spellbinders Floral Harvest [old, really old]

Your turn!  Pop on over to Add A Little Dazzle blog and play along by being inspired by the photo!  Metal is not required, and there is a prize!  Click on graphic to go over.

The Male Room & A Walk Down Memory Lane

It's The Male Room Challenge.  This week is using numbers or letters.

Perfect timing!  A friend of mine needed a graduation card.  ASU colors are maroon and gold.  I do love being able to actually make a card I use for someone else rather then my [hugely] growing stockpile~ :)  I used the Stamps of Life stamp set; Graduation 2 Celebrate.

Easy challenge - especially to make it masculine!  See you over at The Male Room!

It is also A Walk Down Memory Blog post.  This was a fun and super easy card to make!

Pop on over to the blog for the finished card.

More Challenges

Again, those challenges I get in my emails -- Lordy but they inspire me! :)

I am joining in The Challenge #30. It only has one of my [most] favorite color combos ever!

Awesome huh?  I totally CASED this card of Laura's - I love the way she gets such amazing sponging.  (You know the saying, the more you do something the better you get.)  I am quite happy with today's sponging.  I adore the layout of this card too.  Meanwhile I used STAMPlorations Boxed Blooms & Bold Sentiments for my sentiment, and Clearly Besotted Diagonal Stripes.

I went on to play in another new to me challenge; Get Creative Challenge #12; tag on your card

I water colored some paper, and then, cut out the Cheery Lynn Large Butterfly 2.  My tag is from a Tim Holtz Tag & Tie die, along with a sentiment from Inspired By Stamping's, Butterflies.

Just another fun day in blogland~ Thanks Challenges!

SCS Color Challenge CC526

It's my week over at SCS Color Challenge.  This week I chose Tempting Turquoise, Rose Red, and Island Indigo, with a dessert of flowers.

Screams flowers huh? ;)

Sticking with the current trend, I stamped my image and spritzed it with water for a water colored look.  That is the extent of my artistic talent.  I have not gotten "painted" water colors to work me at all. :)  Faux works for me!

I used a company I really haven't heard of before, Hot Off The Press, Silhouette Flowers.  Gosh, what a stunning set!!

Okay, I sure hope you pop on over to the  SCS Color Challenge and play along!  I can't wait to see the gallery.  It's going to be so pretty!

STAMPlorations Inspiration #12

It's another STAMPlorations Inspiration day.

I white embossed the background using the birds from STAMPlorations Bee's Knees, Small Birds.  I covered everything with vellum [mutes the color a bit] then, cut out and paneled the center.  I stamped, cut out and sponged the focal bird. I used the new Tim Holtz distressed color, Abandoned Coral [love this color!]

All you need to do for this challenge, is pop on over to the STAMPlorations Blog, pick a Designer to CASE [hopefully me] and upload your card.  Be sure to tell us who you CASED.

Playing on Sunday

I have myself caught up with DT stuff so that means, as a reward for myself, I get to play in challenges!  [The super fun part ;)]

The Paper Players #240 had a fabulous color combo today, which went along with CAS on Sunday's challenge; Gold.  Put it all together with A Blog Named Hero; Embossing, and here is the card I created;

I used a couple of The Stamps of Life Embossing Folders, and my sentiment is gold embossed [which is not showing well at all!]

I also used a [new to me] Hero Arts set; Happy Day Animals
Hero Arts Acrylic Stamps Happy Day Animals

For your blog

Another fun day!
