New Water Color Pens!

So, I was introduced to a Group over on Facebook. Hmmmm.... not sure that was a good idea.  It's called Stamping Enablers.  Does the title give you a hint? HA! It should - [major danger Will Robinson! :)]

They enabled me to purchase the new to hit-the-trend, Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens.  Heavens to Betsy (!) - these things are so awesome!!  [You can see a video HERE from Sandi Allnock]

I wanted to actually join in a challenge [it's been forever!].  The ColourQ #292 Challenge colors are rather perfect for my new pens~

My cut out is from the Silhouette store.

While this was an easy use of the pens, I really did want to try it on flowers.

So, out came my Altenew Hennah Elements and Super Script.

Aren't these colors so fabulous?  I am going to have a blast with these new toys!  Gorgeous, vivid color -- so me!  And, not to bad for a first attempt~

See ya!

ARTplorations Hop - Day 4

We have 2 days left for the ARTplorations Hop.  Today is my last day, but don't forget to finish it out through Friday.  Remember, you can also play along with the Flash Stencil Project. [see STAMPlorations blog for details].

I did a layering effect with this stencil starting with the Bold Florals Stencil in a light yellow and then stamping with Trendy Butterflies over the top. I really like the effect of this.  I used some Mixed Media Grunge images on my tag.

Like I said, this is it for me this week.  You can see today's other DT links HERE over on the STAMPlorations Blog.  Don't forget to comment for that potential prize!

Stamps of Life - Father's Day

With Father's Day right around the corner, I wanted to share a card I made using the Stamps of Life, MomandDad2Love.

I used the arrow from the Spinner Die Set, and designer paper from Happy Collections.

A nice, basic masculine card!  Works for me~

ARTplorations Hop - Day 3

We are on to day 3.  Are you having fun yet?  I know I did making my cards.

Literally, this is a simple sponged stencil [Happy Flowers] using what I call "focal stenciling".  I kept all the lovely surrounding white to make the colors more vivid. :)  I also used STAMPlorations, Happy stamp set.

Onward for more eye candy.  You can see the rest of the links HERE over at the STAMPlorations Blog.  Don't forget to comment for a possible prize!

The Male Room #11 - Last Day & A Walk Down Memory Lane

It's The Male Room Challenge today, and also my last day on the Team.  I will be honest, I am having serious doubts about stepping down, however, at least I can still play in future challenges.  I have had a blast on this challenge site-- perfect for me with the Son and DH.

I bought this Savvy CityScape die while I was in Seattle a few months ago, and I am just now using it!  [so ridiculous it took me so long].  I lined up washi tape on a card scrap, and then cut out the city.  Kind of a fun way to use washi.  I chose the city scape die since DH & I are going to be traveling and I am sure we will see some cities along the way. :)

Okay everyone -- now it's your turn -- grab that washi and go create, and then upload it over at The Male Room.  Remember, keep it masculine.

It is also my day over at A Walk Down Memory Lane Blog.  Pop on over and check it out.

ARTplorations Hop - Day 2

It's Day 2 of the ARTploration Hop.  Isn't it fun the techniques you can do with stencils!

For my card today, I used the Flutterby Stencil.  I used a light gray for the background, and then just did regular sponging for the focal image.  I filled in the image with a couple of Copics, and used the Celebrate stamp set for my sentiment.

Okay, you know the drill.  You can see the other DT cards HERE over on the STAMPlorations Blog.  Be sure to comment for a chance to win a prize!

Heartfelt Creations May Alumni Hop

It's the Heartfelt Creations Alumni Hop for the month of May.  So.much.fun!

I just love a pop of color on a white card base.  Pretty CAS, but I think it carries a huge POP!

For some added depth, I layered my butterfly 3 times in black.

The Heartfelt supplies I used;

I went on to make another card [with a little tutorial] for you also.

I used the bfly die cuts as a stencil

 Made some colored embossing paste

Filled in the "stencil" with the spatula

For the last step, I added colored glitter to the wet embossed bfly and let it dry.

Okay, that's it for me.  Now it is your turn to follow along on the hop [leaving comments for that $25 gift certificate from Heartfelt Creations] -- Have fun!
