Heartfelt Creations June Alumni Hop

It's time for the HFC Alumni Hop.  I so enjoy this hop -- lots of pretty creations to see.

The advantage to purchasing the paper pads that HFC sells, is besides having beautiful papers, there are also fabulous sentiments that you can just cut out.  With the exception of the butterfly, I used the papers from Winking Frog Collection.  I do adore the colors this pad has.  Here are the additional supplies I used;

Winking Frog Paper Collection Botanical Wings Die Botanical Wings Cling Stamp Set

Now, don't forget to comment, as 1 random commenter will win a $25 gift certificate to Heartfelt Creations! Here is a list of the participating designers this month;

CAS-ual Fridays & Imagine Crafts Blog Hop

Today there is a fabulous hop collaboration with CAS-ual Fridays and Imagine Crafts.  You should be coming from Shona Chambers blog if you are hopping along.  Meanwhile, here are the 2 cards I made;

I used Imagine Craft's; Creative Medium Chartreuse Iridescent Cream, and a sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays Mon Ami.

 This medium is pretty cool stuff!  You start with black card stock, paint on the medium, and wait for it to dry. The end result is very awesome!

It goes on clear, but dries with a really pretty, shimmering coverage.  Then, using a die [CAS-ual Friday Mon Ami Fri-die], I cut out my image.

I also made this one, using the Turquoise Creative Medium.

That's it for me today.  There are a few blogs to hop to, so I won't keep you.  You can pop on over to Alison Heikkila's blog, for the next stop, or go HERE for the entire list of participants.

One last thing, don't forget to leave a comment as there will be a couple of amazing prizes!
Have fun~

Just Us Girls #349 - Photo Inspiration Week

A fun photo that Chris chose for this week's challenge over at JUGS.

I can't believe out of all the stamps I have [and I do have a ton], I do not have a boot!  So I went with the fun colors instead.

Just a basic card, that with the colors, will make someone happy! I used Maya Road, Mini Triangle Banner stamp set, and a word from Tim Holtz Friendship Words.

Your turn! Come on over to the JUGS Blog, check out the rest of the Team's cards, and then play along!  I'm looking forward to seeing the gallery~

CAS(E) This Sketch #178

Gosh it has been forever since I played in a challenge, especially CAS(E) This Sketch!  This week's sketch is a perfect layout for a sympathy card I needed to make for a co-worker who lost her dad.

I inked sprayed a master panel, and punched out the heart. [I will use the rest for future cards].  My die cut sympathy is from Simon Says, With Sympathy.  See what I mean?  The perfect sketch.

Thanks CAS(E)! I loved your sketch~

Flourishes Day

Today for my Flourishes post, I am using Happy Thoughts.

I saw this dotted technique that I wanted to try.  Worked good with this pretty image and the Classic White card stock the Flourishes carries!

A fun sentiment too!

Here is the entire set:

That's it for me today.  Have you checked out the Flourishes store yet?

Summer Coffee Lovers Hop

Gosh I am really behind in joining in the Coffee Lovers Hop for this challenge!  That said, I simply took some time and made the card.  In fact, I finally used my MFT Cool Cup die set!  [I've only had it for almost 6 months!]

I'm sure you have all heard of the latest trend drink from Starbucks?  Unofficially called the "Pink Drink"?  Yeah, that drink has gone off the charts - so much so, the entire state of Arizona ran out of coconut milk!  In honor of that, I made my version of the Pink Drink. :)  (This one was much more fun to make ;)).  I used a sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays MonAmi Fleur.

Okay, off to enter my card, and maybe even do some commenting~

STAMPlorations Inspirations #81

It's time again for the STAMPlorations Inspiration Day.

Today I tried something COMPLETELY different for me.  I won a Craftsy Class free preview from Miriam Prantner's Class; Fresh Eyes on Card Making Supplies.  In one of the lessons [there were 7]. she used a stencil.  Well, because of ARTplorations, I had to try this technique.  It is easy [right up my alley], and fun to do too.  To make my card, I used ARTplorations Bold Florals, along with a sentiment from Big Greetings.

To make this card, start with laying your stencil over a panel of card stock, and using a pencil, [lightly] trace the image.

Color in the image using whatever medium you want.  I used Copics, but water colors would worked perfectly too.  Once your coloring is complete, just erase the pencil lines.  [Fake art :)] and complete your card.  Easy, right?

Come on over to the STAMPlorations Blog and see much more inspiration from the Team.  Don't forget to leave your comment -- there is a monthly random winner of a $10 gift certificate to the STAMPlorations store.
