A Monday Mood Board on Friday

I came across Tracy's Monday Mood Board #5 and was inspired.  While I was in Seattle,  meeting up with some fabulous stamping ladies, Amy was nice enough to let me cut out some Space Needle samples [thanks gf], and I was also given some goodies from Katie [thanks also!]

Put these all together and WALA a card that was inspired from Tracy's Mood Board!

ShowCAS Your Style #4

I'm joining in a super fun, fairly new challenge; ShowCAS Your Style #4. It's quite a fabulous sketch this week.

I finally found the tree punch I have been looking for since last year!  I love this fun tree from EK Success. [I scored it on sale at Hobby Lobby :).] My joy is from Hero Arts Holiday Sayings.

Just one today ;)

It's a Tag Day

I spent all day today making tags.  I do love using these fun items as a small gift.

Do you have a Silhouette?  If you don't, you need to get one!  This entire set of tags was made using my Silhouette.  Can I just say, the time saved... quite fabulous.  On top of that, the fun wreath image you see, that was a freebie given by Silhouette!  I did buy the tag shape, and the deer head?  That is a download from my computer that I made a cut file from it.  Yep, I love my Silhouette!

Using Inspired By Stamping, Build a Stocking and cut file and Christmas Wreath and cut file, I made 3 sets of these tags.

I was inspired by Simon Says Wednesday Challenge photos:

Just thought I would share :)

Catherine & Cathy's last Challenge

Perusing challenges today I came across Catherine & Cathy's Tag Challenge #054.  They are also making this their last challenge.  I always hate to see challenges end, especially fun ones.  However, life does come first.

Meanwhile, the challenge was to use non traditional Christmas colors.  I can do that.

Out of all my Christmas images, I do have to say this Hero Arts reindeer is one of my favorites.  His sweater is just so adorable, right?  I saw this photo in one of my emails today and wanted to try for the same effect.

While I can see I need to glue together a little better, I do like the effect.

So, I think I accomplished this tag challenge, orange and yellow isn't traditional. :)

Dazzling Divas' #56 Challenge

It's time for the Dazzling Divas Challenge #56.  This challenge will go through the next 3 weeks [January 6]. That way, we also get to enjoy our Christmas. :). [Thanks Monica]  This is an anything goes challenge, being inspired by the above beautiful photo.

I my opinion, you absolutely can not go wrong when using the AALD craft metal sheets!  Every time I go to make a card [using this product], I can't believe how fabulous it is.  For my card today, I used [my favorite] Perfect Peacock, along with the backside of silver, for my punched ferns.  The metal just makes your card glow -- I love that!

Now, be inspired [for that last minute, need to have, Christmas card] and play along!  Be sure to check out the rest of the Team's fabulous samples!  It does help to be even further inspired!
Don't forget, there is also a prize for the winner!

Simon Says Flickr Challenge

I'm joining in today with a fun sketch challenge from Simon Says Flickr Challenge #8.

I would show you the photo of the sketch, but Flickr confuses me and I can't get a copy to load over here.  You'll just have to pop on over to the challenge.  The one requirement is you have to use SS products.  I used Flower Friend and the new fabulous Stitched Rectangles.  Boy, I love that set of dies!  I also used the fun colors from Pals Paper Arts #231.
12-11

Just for fun; I saw this photo on Pinterest and it completely motivated me!

I thought this was just adorable!

I had to add the pop of red :).  I used a sentiment from the same Simon Says set, Flower Friend.  My stitched panels are My Favorite Things Die-namics, Stitched Strips.

That's it for me today.

SCS Color Challenge CC509

It's Karen's turn over at SCS. This week she chose Cherry Cobbler, Sky Blue and Old Olive, with a dessert of fussy cutting.  Well, you all know me, I can not handle fussy cutting - so no dessert for me this week. :)

However, I did use a few cutters - MFT Pierced Fishtail, and Pierced Circles, along with Simon Says Stitched Rectangles.  I used Verve Snowflake Splendor and Celebration of Thanks - apparently both have been discontinued.

Come on over to SCS Color Challenge and play along!  Can't wait to see what you do with these colors!

Challenges!

I watched the [fabulous] Laura Bassen's  Make It Monday #193, Camouflaging Die Cuts video over at Capture the Moment for Papertrey.  I have seen her do this technique before, but I can watch over and over, because I always forget something doing this super fun technique.  [I'll show you at the end of this post.]

I had every intention of making a birthday card, until I got a text saying my friend's father passed away.  Sympathy card needed asap.  This technique is perfect for a soft made card.  I used the With Sympathy die from Simon Says, and my stand by, butterfly die from PTI.  I think that is one of my most perfect purchases from PTI.  I just love this set - it's timeless.
Because of the products I used I am entering into Simon Says Monday Challenge; bling -- Simon Says Wednesday Challenge; anything goes, Dies R Us #16; anything goes [using a die], and of course. PTI Make It Monday #193; Camouflaged Dies.

So yeah, you wanna see my first attempt?
For some reason there was a flaw along the side of my card panel that just wouldn't take color -- then, I lost the teeny tiny pieces of die cuts and wow that looks funny without them.  So yeah, called for a re-do for sure!

Thanks challenges for being there today - and Laura, you are amazingly creative!

Cardabilities #113

It's the time for Cardabilities Sketch #113.  Once again, Karen has surpassed herself with awesomeness!

I used Hero Arts Holiday Sayings for the sentiment and Brush Strokes for the splats.  I did purchase the Simon Says Stitched Rectangles - kind of love these things! :)

Now it's your turn!  I sure hope to see your creation over at the Cardabilities Blog and you have as much fun using the sketch as I did!

Just Us Girls #271 & Addicted To CAS #54

This week at JUGS is Trend Week.  Maria chose Mixed Media.  Basically that means use 2 or more mediums on your card.  Really isn't complicated at all :).

In my case, I used a stencil, with the Bokeh technique and embossing.  I used Inspired By Stamping Holiday Sentiments and Background Basics III.  My dots are Hero Arts Box of Dots. I used the fun sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #166.

We hope you come on over and play along in the JUGS Challenge.  I for one can't wait to see what you create!

Going on to Addicted to CAS; Family

I'm thinking this works well - I love these stick kids and don't get me started with that adorable dog! :)  These stamps are so old, and I still love them. My sentiment is from STAMPlorations Subway Art; Mom.

What does family mean to you?  Whatever it is, come on over and play in Addicted to CAS Challenge.  Looking forward to your creation!
