I used STAMPlorations Retro Mod Shapes for my background and Trendy Feathers for my sentiment. The little dots are embossing paste. My stencil had ink on it which in turn colored the tiny dots. I kind of liked the contrasting color so I went with it.
I hope you come over the STAMPlorations Blog, check out the other DT cards, and then play along~ I adore the angled panels and I hope you are inspired too.
The little black stripe at the top is washi tape. I think I am joining the crowd of trying out Jennifer McGuire's techniques. That girl has some serious fresh ideas. On this card, I used embossing paste [Studio Wendy Vecchi] with a stencil [Dylusions Flower Medley] and then put gold sparkle embossing powder on it.
Before heat embossing it, you need to let the paste dry. It was waiting for me this am and worked perfect for this challenge.... I thought.
When I actually popped over to the Paper Players Blog, it said washi tape &CAS. Whoops I sort of missed that CAS part with my first card..........so, I made another one!
Aww, now that's better - all that lovely white! I used Inspired By Stamping; Paris and Tickets. My tower is a MFT die, Eiffel Tower. and yes, the edge panel is washi tape.
Shimmer Smooch for a sparkle, bow with roses, and sequins.
I might of stretched the sketch a little with the center, but I just saw this technique, and wanted to try it. I used my MFT Snowdrift die to cut the panel and then left space between when adhering it on to my card base. I love this look.
Another fun Saturday, creating in my stamp room~

Sue V has chosen one of my favorite color combos! Yep, blue and orange and white.
I used an old Stampin Up stamp set, Simple Shapes. You can look for this set on Ebay - yep, retired. I really adore graphic type cards, and big dots are lovely :). My sentiment is from Hero Arts, Essential Messages.
I hope you pop on over and play. I can't wait to see all the fabulous cards with these colors!
Runway Inspired Challenge and CAS(E) this Sketch are combining their challenges - how fun is that. I don't normally play in the Runway challenge, but my fellow stamper friend, Deepti is the Guest Designer. In support of her, I am playing along. [Hi Deepti!]
I cut a circle stencil and sponged on ink, then I overlaid a diamond cut out, and sprayed it with Mister Huey's White Spray Ink. I used Dare 2B Artzy stamp set, Get Well Smiles.
I adore CASEing fellow stampers! I look at cards and think 'gee why didn't I think of that', then I will be inspired for making my card. Therefore, I was very excited to see CASE Study is looking to add to the Design Team. Since you can't be considered if you don't play, I decided to trow in my hat [well, card anyway]. ;)
For this DT tryout, we are to pick a stamper who inspires us and CASE their card. Here is my CASE:
In honor of Jen sponsoring Curtain Call, I used her April Sketch For You To Try. I don't have any of her stamps, but I had fun with the sketch anyway. My background is water colored and after it dried, I used a stencil. I went with fabulously bright colors because when you are on the other side of 55 your eyes start to go! [Right?!] -- Lol, my friend is going to kill me when I write that on the inside .................. bawahaha!
Wish me luck for CASE Study! - I would adore being on that Team~

Today over at The Male Room, the theme is PET. My first response was to go with a sympathy card, but I have done that in the past. Instead, I went with an encouraging card;
While most people don't keep tigers as pets, they do have cute kitties -- so I am pushing this card, but it does work for a masculine encouragement -- don't you think? The tiger image is from an out of business, business, and the tiny kitty is Stampendous -- probably 20 years old at this point :).
Come on over and join in The Male Room. Let's see how you interpret PET.
